Juvenile Arthritis is something that often goes unnoticed or pushed aside due to seemingly more important illnesses, but what many people don't know is that Juvenile Arthritis affects so many kids across the world in brutal ways. Approximately 300,000 children in the United States are estimated to have some type of arthritis. This means that over 300,000 kids have pain in their joints, some will even struggle holding a pencil or playing on the playground. This is something that AOII wants to put an end to. This is why we have dedicated our sorority to help find a cure for JA by raising money and awareness through fundraisers.

"I'm super excited to have the opportunity to work with one of my best friends for a cause we are both passionate about. Marie and I have been working so hard to make this years philanthropy events bigger and better than ever, and we cant wait to see them come to life!"
"I love my position because it opens up so many opportunities to work with the Auburn community. Our impact goes beyond Auburn and genuinely reaches new audiences every year. I also get to work side by side with one of my best friends which is a big plus!"

Run for Roses is a 5K AOII hosts every fall! We raise money by encouraging students and parents to sign up for the race as well as buy T-shirts. Every penny raised is then donated to the arthritis foundation to help children with JA. This past year we decided to turn it into a color run and it was a blast!!!
Slice out is AOII's annual spring fundraiser! We make all kinds of pies and yummy desserts as well as order pizza for everyone who buys a wrist band. This encourages college students to buy a wristband for all you can eat dinner and dessert, and all the money raised goes to the Arthritis Foundation!
